CasperPractice Inc. ("we," "our," "us") is committed to respecting your privacy and safeguarding your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree that your information may be collected and used as described in this policy.

Account information: your email address and, if you buy a paid plan, your name, billing address and payment details. Payment details are held by Stripe, our payment processor; we never see your full card number.
Your practice: the answers you type, the videos you record, transcripts of those videos, the evaluator-style scores and rankings your attempts receive, and the coaching generated for them.
Your grading profile: the program and country you are applying to, the language of your Casper test, your booked test date, and any extra-time accommodation. You give us these during onboarding and can change them in Settings.
Usage data: how you use the site, collected through cookies and our analytics providers. This can include IP address, device and browser information, and the pages you visit.
We use your information to run the service: to save your practice, grade and coach your answers, rank your attempts against your peers, process payments, and send you transactional messages such as receipts and account notices. With your consent we may also send marketing messages about updates and offers; you can opt out at any time using the link in those messages. We use aggregated, anonymous data for analytics and internal reporting.
Your typed answers and, for video answers, transcripts of what you said are sent to our AI providers to be graded and coached. Grading is performed by Anthropic; coaching is performed by Anthropic; video recordings are sent to OpenAI to be transcribed. These providers process your content only to return a result to us. We do not opt in to letting any provider train its models on your content, so your answers, videos and transcripts are not used to train their models.
Your video recordings, transcripts, scores and coaching are stored on your account with our database and storage provider, Supabase.
Your attempt rankings are computed by comparing your answer scores with those of other CasperPractice users taking the same Casper test. Only the scores are used for this, and only as anonymous numbers. No user can ever see or use another user's answers, videos, transcripts, coaching or account details. Nothing that identifies you is part of any other user's ranking.
We rely on third-party providers to run the platform. Each has access to your data only as needed to perform its task for us: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Anthropic and OpenAI (AI grading, coaching and transcription), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), PostHog (product analytics), Tidio (support chat), Resend (email delivery) and Tolt (affiliate tracking). We also use advertising measurement pixels from Google, Meta, Reddit and TikTok on our marketing pages to understand which campaigns bring visitors to the site.
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. Our analytics and advertising providers also set cookies on our marketing pages. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; blocking the sign-in cookie will stop the platform working.
You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected] from the address on your account. Deletion removes your account, your answers, your video recordings and transcripts, your coaching and your personal information. Anonymous grading metadata, such as scores and the Casper test type they belong to, is retained only for the purpose of grading and ranking other users. It contains nothing that identifies you and cannot be linked back to you after deletion.
We keep your data for as long as your account exists so that your practice history stays available to you, including after a paid plan ends. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including restricting access to authorized personnel who use two-factor authentication. In the event of a data breach we will notify affected users by email and describe the steps we are taking.
Our services are intended for adults preparing for admissions tests. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
We may update this policy from time to time. For material changes we will post a notice on the site and update the effective date above. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
